- It is necessary for our legitimate business interests (balanced against your rights).
7. Voluntary or Mandatory Information
Most information is provided voluntarily. However, certain details (name, contact information, delivery address, and personalisation details) are required to process and fulfil your order.
If you do not provide the necessary information, we will be unable to complete your order.
8. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit our website. We use three types of cookies:
| Type | What they do | Examples | Can you refuse them? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Functional (essential) | Make the shop work: remembering your basket, keeping you logged in, processing payments securely and preventing spam. | WooCommerce basket and session cookies, Ozow payment, WordPress login, Google reCAPTCHA, your cookie choices | No – the website cannot work without them. |
| Statistics | Help us understand how visitors find and use our website so we can improve it. | Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) | Yes |
| Marketing | Measure our adverts on Facebook, Instagram and Google, and show our products to people likely to be interested. | Meta Pixel (_fbp, _fbc), Google Ads (_gcl_au) | Yes |
Your consent. When you first visit our website, a cookie banner asks for your consent. Statistics and marketing cookies are only set if you choose Accept, or allow them under View preferences. If you choose Deny, only functional cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time using the Manage consent tab on our website, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Tools we use
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) – records how visitors use our website (pages viewed, time on site, device and approximate location). We use this information in aggregate and do not use it to identify you.
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd) – records actions on our website, such as viewing a product, adding to basket or completing an order, so that we can measure our Facebook and Instagram adverts and show them to people likely to be interested. Where you have given us your email address or phone number (for example at checkout), this may be shared with Meta in a scrambled (hashed) form to match the action to a Meta account. Meta cannot read the original details. Order events may be sent from our server to Meta (Conversions API) to measure purchases.
- Google Merchant Center and Google Ads – shares our product information with Google so that our products can appear in Google Shopping, and measures the results of any Google adverts.
A full, regularly updated list of every cookie we use, who sets it and how long it lasts is available in our Cookie Policy.
Your choices. Besides the cookie banner, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage how Meta uses your information under Ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings. Blocking functional cookies may stop parts of the website, such as the basket and checkout, from working.
9. Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share personal information with trusted third parties only when necessary, including:
- Payment providers (to process secure payments);
- Courier and delivery companies (to deliver orders);
- Website hosting, cloud storage, and technical support providers;
- Analytics and advertising partners (Google and Meta), as described in section 8;
- Professional advisors (accountants, attorneys, auditors);
- Regulatory authorities where required by law.
All service providers who process information on our behalf are required to protect it and may only use it according to our instructions.
10. International Transfers
Some service providers may store or process personal information outside South Africa (for example, certain hosting, email, analytics and advertising providers such as Google and Meta).
Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place and that the transfer complies with POPIA.
11. Retention of Information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Fulfil the purpose for which it was collected;
- Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations;
- Resolve disputes; and
- Enforce our rights.
When information is no longer required, it will be securely deleted, anonymised, or destroyed.
12. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include secure website encryption (SSL), restricted access, and secure hosting.
No internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed 100% secure.
13. Data Breaches
If a security breach occurs that affects personal information, we will take the steps required by POPIA, including notifying affected individuals and the Information Regulator where legally required.

We may send marketing communications where you have consented or where permitted by law for existing customers.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option. You may opt out at any time.
